Global Impact (1).jpg
Global Impact exists to facilitate opportunities to serve others and reach, not just our local community, but our neighbours around the globe. Our church supports many International Workers and we offer different ways that you can become involved or get connected as well.
Learn who our International Workers are by visiting the Global Impact area in the Cafe, and taking a copy of their current newsletter. Consider partnering with a worker through prayer, financial support, and/or joining the missions team.

What's an MOU?

MOU stands for “Memorandum Of Understanding”.
This is a type of agreement between two groups. In the case of Grande Prairie Alliance Church, we sign MOU’s between us as a church and international workers as a statement of mutual commitment.
  • As a church, we commit to pray for, financially support, and partner with the mission of the international worker(s).
  • As an international worker(s), they commit to communicating needs and updates and aligning themselves under the church as their umbrella.
Like baptisms, weddings, and funerals, an MOU is a formal agreement made in front of an audience that not only adds accountability and weight to the agreement being made, but demonstrates a promise to care for one another out of the love of Jesus.

Ruth Nilsson
PASTOR OF GLOBAL IMPACT
Ruth has been a part of GPAC staff since 2018. She was given a heart for missions at a young age and has served the church in Mexico and continues to do so from here. A source of encouragement for current and future International Workers, Ruth's passion for the Great Commission fuels her work daily. Some her favourite things include: the outdoors, wiener roasts, campfires, and biking through God's beautiful nature. She also enjoys sharing her favourite candy from Mexico (Pulparindo) with unassuming staff - it certainly packs a punch!
